Promotoras/Volunteers

CCNP’s Women and Community promotoras are women leaders, who live in the community and have been trained to educate, guide, and refer community residents to resources that will overall benefit their health and social service needs. As trusted voices in the community, they play the roles of advocate, educator, mentor, outreach worker, and role model. Promotoras work with us to improve the systems and conditions that impact people’s daily lives.

CCNP Promotoras

Yearly, CCNP invites a group of women to become CCNP Promotoras. Through a 10 – week program, participants are engaged in weekly learning discussions regarding health, finances, and community. After successful completion of the 10-week program, new CCNP Promotoras are linked to a promotora mentor to help develop effective outreach and engagement strategies. Promotoras who successfully complete the training are invited to work alongside CCNP through various outreach and engagement initiatives.

CCNP is proud to share that three of the original CCNP Promotoras now make up part of the CCNP Employee Team!
