ORGANIZATIONAL/PROGRAM BACKGROUND:
Central City Neighborhood Partners (CCNP) was established in 1994 and incorporated as a formal non-profit
collaborative in 2000 to address the socio-economic conditions impacting low-income families living in the City of Los
Angeles, with a focus on Westlake and surrounding communities, and expanding to Koreatown in 2024. With the
mission of catalyzing partnerships to systemically address the multiple challenges facing low-income families, CCNP
works with its partners to help families create pathways to financial security and economic opportunity through our
FamilySource Center (FSC) programs, financial asset building programs and other signature programs.
Position Overview:
The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for implementing a “no wrong door” approach to coordinate the delivery of
services and client referrals that result in the following outcomes: 1) Increase Family Income and 2) Increase Youth
Academic Achievement. This position will also provide program and administrative support to FamilySource Center
partners and staff to ensure the program is implemented effectively, efficiently and consistently in accordance with
grant requirements and the mission of CCNP.
Outreach Coordinator will perform a broad range of duties spanning the full employment cycle, including, but not
limited to providing support and/or monitoring of the following
1. Warmly welcome clients and provide information and referrals based on client needs;
2. Anticipate, meet and exceed client needs by maintaining a current working knowledge of all programs,
activities and procedures;
3. Attend community health fairs and other events to promote the FamilySource Programs and other free
programs offered from CCNP
4. Attend all parent meetings in the surrounding schools
5. Assist in the preparation of all outreach material for distribution in the community
6. Assist FamilySource partners and staff with special projects, including preparing correspondences, forms,
flyers and translating documents from English to Spanish;
7. Participate in the FamilySource performance excellence initiative
8. Other duties as assigned by supervisor and executive leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
1. Ability to identify and meet the economic and academic needs of special target segments within the
community;
2. Savvy and energetic with ability to outreach, connect and engage the community in activities;
3. Ability to instruct and present ideas, rules and activities in a clear and comprehensive manner;

4. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required, ability to multitask, and the ability to
fill-in for co-workers as the work schedule requires;
5. Must be able to cultivate teamwork, exercise good judgment and be comfortable working with partners, staff
and clients of diverse backgrounds and circumstances;
6. Verbal and written fluency in English and Spanish languages is required for this position;
7. Must be a self-starter, have initiative, excellent follow-through skills and problem-solving capacity;
8. Must be computer literate with proficiency in MS Office and the Internet;
9. Commitment to the mission and goals of CCNP.
10. At least 4 years in conducting community outreach and engagement
11. Familiarity with the Westlake and surrounding communities
12. The ability to read, write and speak in English is required, and the ability to speak Spanish and/or Korean is
preferred, given that many of the targeted families are monolingual in Spanish and/or Korean. Cultural
sensitivity is required.
13. Operational knowledge of the Internet and web-related technologies; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and
PowerPoint); Windows Operating System.
14. Ability to manage databases and reporting systems in order to produce a variety of written reports.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
● Any combination equivalent to: High School Diploma/GED and two years of general office experience; related
coursework and certifications encouraged.
Other Requirements
▪ Successfully pass all post offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background
check, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

▪ Must have reliable transportation and State required automobile insurance coverage and valid Class C
California driver’s license (mileage to be reimbursed)

Central City Neighborhood Partners has implemented a mandatory vaccination policy effective October 1, 2021
requiring COVID-19 vaccinations for all employees (with approved religious and medical accommodations). At
present, an individual is deemed “fully vaccinated” when that person has received, at least 14 days prior, either the
second dose in a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine series (e.g. Pfizer or Moderna) or a single-dose COVID-19 vaccine
(e.g. Johnson & Johnson). As a condition of employment, employees must submit official COVID-19 vaccine
documentation.
Physical Requirements
1. To perform this job the individual must be able to carry out all essential functions satisfactorily. Reasonable

2. Approximately 50% of time is spent sitting, while frequently required to walk, stand and bend.
