Reports To: FamilySource Center Program Manager
Salary: $22 per hour
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Organizational/Program Background:
Central City Neighborhood Partners (CCNP) was established in 1994 and incorporated as a formal non-profit collaborative in 2000 to address socio-economic conditions impacting low-income families in Los Angeles, with a focus on Westlake and surrounding communities. Expanding to Koreatown in 2024, CCNP’s mission is to catalyze partnerships that systematically address challenges facing low-income families, creating pathways to financial security and economic opportunity through programs like the FamilySource Center (FSC), financial asset-building initiatives, and other signature programs.
Position Overview: The Intake and Eligibility Coordinator is the first point of contact for families reaching out to the FamilySource Center. This role involves enrolling at least 120 families monthly into FSC programs, conducting pre-assessments, and coordinating high-quality resources, services, and referrals to enhance families’ economic opportunities. The Intake and Eligibility Coordinator will collaborate with community partners and professionals to support families while addressing systemic challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct intake, multi-benefit screenings, pre-assessments, and comprehensive evaluations of families’ needs, including financial health, education, and psychosocial assessments.
- Identify, develop, and coordinate community resources and referrals to enhance economic opportunities for families.
- Perform multi-benefit screenings using tools like “Your Benefits Now” and assist with enrollment in public benefits programs (e.g., utility discounts, LIFE coupons).
- Determine family needs to achieve FSC’s primary goals: increasing family income and improving youth academic achievement.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with community resources and partners.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including client files, referrals, and supportive services.
- Prepare statistical reports and submit monthly performance data to supervisors.
- Familiarize families with service coordination strategies, goal-setting processes, and program expectations.
- Participate in planning and coordination of annual events, such as Wellness Conferences, Community Events, and Youth Leadership Programs.
- Assist with the VITA Tax Preparation Program in collaboration with the VITA Coordinator.
- Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by supervisors and leadership.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Knowledge and experience with educational and asset-building programs and resources.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including empathetic listening and non-judgmental interviewing.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and initiative.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Cultural competence in working with individuals from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based technologies.
- Ability to manage databases and generate detailed reports.
- Fluency in English required; Spanish and/or Korean proficiency preferred.
- Friendly, dependable, and flexible team player.
Education and Certification Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in clerical or eligibility support roles.
Other Requirements:
- Successfully pass pre-employment screenings, including a criminal background check.
- Provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Valid TB certificate and full COVID-19 vaccination.
- Reliable transportation, a valid California driver’s license, and auto insurance.
- Flexibility to work evenings (until 8 p.m. at least once a week) and weekends as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform job functions with reasonable accommodations.
- Frequent walking, standing, and bending; ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
