Organizational/Program Background:
 Central City Neighborhood Partners (CCNP) was established in 1994 to address socio-economic conditions impacting low-income families in Central City, Westlake, and Pico-Union communities. CCNP collaborates with partners to create pathways to financial security and economic opportunity through the FamilySource Center (FSC) program and other initiatives.

$22.00 hourly

Full time/ 40 hrs per week

Position Overview

The Navigator  is responsible for direct assistance of community members with navigation including resource linkage, application assistance and other supportive services. The navigator with the support of the Learning Communities Manager  will work together to coordinate and facilitate community events and workshops of transportation incentives, Health and Wellness, and other topics.This position will also provide program and administrative support to ensure the program is implemented effectively, efficiently and consistently in accordance with grant requirements and the mission of CCNP.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with limited supervision, with diverse groups including  immigrants, coalitions, public officials, and media;
  • Analytical experience processing demographic data sets for different program reports
  • Ability to manage databases and reporting systems in order to produce a variety of written reports
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills required; ability to use tact and diplomacy in communication
  • The ability to read, write and speak in English is required, Spanish preferred, given that many of the targeted families are monolingual in Spanish. Cultural sensitivity is required.
  • Operational knowledge of the Internet and web-related technologies; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); Windows Operating System, Zoom,
  • Ability to manage databases and reporting systems in order to produce a variety of written reports
  • Ability to present in large groups
  • Knowledge of social media platforms, particularly Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter

Other Requirements:

  • Pass pre-employment screening, including background check.
  • Possess TB Certificate and full COVID-19 vaccination.
  • Have reliable transportation and valid California driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks as necessary.
